Innonation is now an Accredited Testing Laboratory (LAP)

What is a LAP and why it matters

Glossary

The Accredited Testing Laboratory (LAP) is a technical facility recognized by the National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) and its National Evaluation and Certification Center (CVCN). It operates to assess the security of software and hardware products intended for essential infrastructure and services for the security of the Country — those that fall within the National Cybersecurity Security Perimeter (PSNC). LAPs perform tests according to methodologies and technical determinations defined by the ACN.

What our laboratory can do

The role of Accredited Testing Laboratories

The main activity of the Accredited Testing Laboratories of the CVCN consists of subjecting products, systems, and ICT components to in-depth technical analysis to verify their security. These laboratories operate as specialized facilities that, upon request or within the processes provided by the CVCN, examine software, hardware, and digital infrastructures to identify any vulnerabilities, design flaws, or behaviors that may compromise data protection and system resilience.

Contribution

to national security

The work of Accredited Testing Laboratories is not limited to a simple formal check, but involves practical and experimental activities, such as attack simulations and robustness checks, with the aim of understanding how a system reacts to real threats. In this way, they contribute concretely to the national evaluation and certification process, providing technical evidence that allows for determining whether a technology can be considered safe for use in sensitive or strategic contexts.

The value of a methodically built path

In this scenario, the role of the laboratory also takes on a broader dimension. It is not just about carrying out technical activities according to certain standards, but about operating within a system that requires reliability, competence, and high responsibility. In this sense, accreditation identifies entities authorized to contribute, indirectly but concretely, to the resilience and security of the country’s system.
